Sanford man embezzled $100K from builder, police say

SANFORD (WTVD) -- A Sanford man has been accused of embezzling from Ward Custom Builders, where he worked.

Nello Reggie Patterson, 47, of the 2500 block of Broadway Road was charged Thursday with one count of embezzlement of more than $100,000 and three counts of embezzlement.

Patterson allegedly embezzled the money, goods and other services from the company.

Patterson was taken before a Lee County magistrate where he was released on a $50,000 unsecured bond.

His first court appearance is set for 9 a.m. Friday.
