Man airlifted to UNC Hospital after shooting in Sanford

SANFORD, North Carolina (WTVD) -- A man was airlifted to UNC Hospital after he was shot in Sanford early Sunday morning.

The Lee County Sheriff's Office said a man suffering from a gunshot wound was found on the front porch of a home in the 3000 block of Cornsilk Drive.

Authorities have not yet released his name or condition.
