RALEIGH (WTVD) -- A traffic trouble spot on Hammond Road in Raleigh has been repaired.
Crews removed barrels and reopened lanes to traffic Tuesday after repairing a sinkhole that opened earlier this month.
Both southbound lanes of the road south of Interstate 40 near Rush Street were closed throughout the day so work could be completed.
The DOT says it will continue monitoring the road for additional settling and will continue planning for the permanent repair work.
