FAISON, N.C. (WTVD) -- Authorities are investigating an Saturday overnight shooting at a party in Sampson County that also led to a deputy being injured in a crash.

According to authorities, a deputy responding to the shooting was hurt in a crash after a driver sped away from the scene. Details about the deputy's condition have not been released.
Officials also confirmed that Sampson Regional Hospital was briefly placed on lockdown as a precaution following the incident.
