Bond set for Robeson County man accused of impersonating high schooler

ROBESON COUNTY, N.C. (WTVD) -- A man accused of pretending to be a high school student in Robeson County made his first court appearance.

Robeson County Sheriff's Office said Matthew Jones was walking the halls of Red Springs High School.

He was quickly arrested after school staff members spotted him and questioned him.

Jones is facing several charges including sexual offenses with a child under 15, solicitation of a child by computer,  and more.

During his court appearance, Jones’ bond was set at $500,000.
