RALEIGH (WTVD) -- A serious crash Monday afternoon has left at least one person injured and affected traffic flow in North Raleigh for several hours.
It happened on Capital Boulevard near Spring Forest Road.
Chopper 11 HD was on the scene where emergency workers pulled a person out of a black SUV that flipped in the roadway. A red pickup was also involved in the crash.
Details of what led to the crash were not immediately available.
One southbound lane of Capital Boulevard was open, with traffic backed up all the way to I-540. Northbound traffic leaving downtown Raleigh was backed up all the way to the 401 split as of 5 p.m.
By 6 p.m., all lanes of Capital Boulevard had reopened.
