RALEIGH (WTVD) -- Swift Creek Elementary School in Raleigh closed at noon Thursday because of heating problems.
School buses will provide transportation home for students who ride by bus and parents will be able to pick up their children for rides out as usual. All kindergarten and first grade students must have a responsible person at the bus stop to accompany them home or they will be returned to the school.
After school programs will not operate. Parents may want to call their daycare providers to see if they will be picking children up. If your child is not to ride normal transportation or follow the inclement weather transportation protocol, please call the office with changes.
School staff will stay with students at school until arrangements have been made for each child to get home safely.
