Durham man enlists flash mob to propose to his girlfriend inside of Target

DURHAM (WTVD) -- A Triangle man proposed to his girlfriend in a very public way this month, and ABC11 has the video everyone is talking about.

Brian Burnette popped the question on June 14 at the Target on Renaissance Parkway in Durham.

Burnette enlisted friends and family to help organize a flash mob in one of the aisles to propose to his girlfriend Evan Sharpless.

At first, Burnette watched the performance alongside his girlfriend. Later, he jumped in to the flash mob, ending with him on bended knee.

Bystanders watching the performance were seen singing along and snapping pictures during the spectacle.

And by the way, Sharpless said yes.
