Two arrested in Rocky Mount murder
Rocky Mount police have arrested two men for the murder of a 15-year-old

ROCKY MOUNT. N.C. (WTVD) -- Police have charged two men with murder after a Rocky Mount teen was shot to death Friday afternoon.

Fifteen-year-old Lavontae Brown was found severely injured after the shooting in the 1600 block of Pinehaven Drive just after 1 p.m. Brown was taken to Nash General Hospital where he later died.

Police have arrested 18-year-old Te'von Lamont Mabry and 19-year-old Michael Antoine Lyons, Jr. in connection with the shooting.

Mabry is charged with first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder, and possession of a firearm by a felon. Lyons is charged with first-degree murder and attempted first-degree murder.

Both Mabry and Lyons were placed in the Nash County jail without bond.
