RALEIGH (WTVD) -- A woman was arrested at her Durham home for allegedly leaving a porcelain toilet at the Governor's Mansion earlier this month.

Genevieve Burkhalter, 36, was arrested this week by North Carolina State Capitol Police and charged with littering 15-500 pounds. An arrest warrant shows the crime involved a porcelain toilet and happened on April 15.

The Capitol Police Chief told ABC11 a person in a pickup truck left the toilet at the Governor's Mansion. He says further investigation led to Burkhalter but adds, "Any reason for the littering is only speculative at this point."
