Interstate in Wake County re-opened after accident

WAKE COUNTY, N.C. (WTVD) -- All lanes of Interstate 495 had to be closed at Exit 422 near Raleigh Wednesday morning due to an accident.

Details surrounding the crash have not been released, but officials had to divert traffic to Hodge Road as the worked to clear the scene.

Traffic was backed up in the area for hours as authorities slowly reopened some of the lanes.
