Wreck causes traffic jam on I-540 near Glenwood Avenue

RALEIGH (WTVD) -- Traffic on I-540 near Glenwood Avenue is almost at a standstill following an accident.

The wreck happened just before 7 p.m. Tuesday night.

According to officials, two of the three lanes of traffic are closed.

The roadway is expected to clear up before 9 p.m.; drivers are encouraged to find other routes.
