WARREN COUNTY, North Carolina (WTVD) -- I-85 North is closed in Warren County because of a crash Monday, seriously affecting Labor Day travelers.
The affected area is north of Exit 226 (Ridgeway-Drewry Rd.) in Warren County. The roadway is expected to reopen about 6 p.m.
Motorists traveling that route should take Exit 220 to US-1 North. Turn left onto US-1 North and continue until reaching I-85 near the Virginia state line, Turn right onto the ramp to re-access I-85 North at Exit 233.
I-85 North has reopened near Exit 217 (Satterwhite Point Road) in Vance County.
The highway was closed there because of a crash. Congestion remains heavy in the area.
Motorists should take Exit 215, US-158 East, then turn left to stay on US-158 East. Follow US-158 East, then turn left onto the ramp to US-1 Bypass/I-85 North to re-access I-85 North at Exit 218.
