RALEIGH (WTVD) -- Raleigh-Durham International Airport will now officially allow passengers to use the Uber and Lyft transportation services.
The Airport Authority board of directors approved an agreement with the services Thursday that designates special areas outside the baggage claims at both terminals for pick-up and drop-off.
"We are thrilled to add Raleigh-Durham International to the growing list of airports that have embraced innovation and greater consumer choice through the Uber app. We very much appreciate the hard work and dedication of the Raleigh-Durham Airport Authority in reaching this agreement," said Uber North Carolina General Manager Arathi Mehrotra.
