RALEIGH (WTVD) -- A man was crushed to death by a truck in Raleigh Wednesday.
It happened around 12:15 p.m. at a trucking facility off Gresham Lake Road and Northside Drive.
Images from Chopper11 HD showed a white semi-truck smashed against a truck trailer.
In a 911 call, a woman explained how it happened.
"He was hooking up a chain and the truck started up and ran over him. He's pinned under the truck," said the caller.
The Raleigh Police Department identified the man as 51-year-old Steve Jacques Fauche.
Investigators said Fauche left the truck running and in gear without the parking brake set before getting out to unhook chains from the front of the vehicle. The truck drove forward on its own and over Fauche before colliding with a trailer parked nearby.
