UNC investigating attempted robbery near Avery dorm

CHAPEL HILL (WTVD) -- UNC Public Safety is investigating an attempted robbery near Avery Residence Hall on the UNC campus shortly before 11 p.m. Thursday evening.

The victim, the driver of a vehicle making a food delivery in the area, was confronted by a male suspect who left the scene on foot.

No weapon was seen during the incident.

The suspect was described as a male, 18 - 25 years old, with short hair and a goatee, wearing a gray sweatshirt and sweatpants.
