Ambulance crash closes Creedmoor Road; two medics hospitalized

RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) -- Creedmoor Road has reopened after a private ambulance crashed into a ditch early Thursday, authorities said.

Two medics who were inside the ambulance were taken to a hospital for evaluation, according to emergency officials. No additional details about their injuries were immediately released.

The ambulance was not transporting a patient at the time of the crash.

Crews worked to remove the vehicle and clear the roadway before reopening all lanes. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
