Finn Carr and Asher Antonyzyn talk life, school and General Hospital

For young actors Finn Carr and Asher Antonyzyn, General Hospital has become much more than a television show. It's a platform that has launched their careers, expanded their audiences and given them the opportunity to grow alongside two of Port Charles' most popular young characters.

Carr has played Rocco Falconeri since 2022, while Antonyzyn joined the long-running ABC daytime drama in 2023 as Danny Morgan. In recent months, both characters have taken on larger roles within the show's evolving storylines, placing the talented teenagers at the center of some of Port Charles' biggest moments.

Although they now share the spotlight on one of television's most iconic soap operas, the paths that led them to General Hospital were remarkably different.

Carr began acting at just 4 years old and built an impressive résumé through appearances in several television comedies before making the transition to daytime drama. While excited for the challenge, he quickly learned that soap operas operate at a much different pace.

"There is a lot more volume and there definitely is a learning curve," Carr says, referring to the large amount of dialogue and fast-paced production schedule that comes with daytime television.

For Antonyzyn, acting wasn't always the plan. Growing up, sports played a major role in his life. It wasn't until after the COVID-19 pandemic that he decided to explore the entertainment industry, enrolling in modeling and acting classes in 2021. That decision ultimately led to his television debut on General Hospital, where he quickly won over fans as Danny Morgan.

Despite their growing success, both actors continue to lead lives that are relatable to many teenagers. Carr and Antonyzyn still attend high school in their respective hometowns while regularly commuting to Los Angeles for filming and balancing their education with the demands of a national television series.

As their characters have become more heavily involved in the show's storylines, both young stars have experienced firsthand how life can change when opportunities grow. With Danny and Rocco playing increasingly important roles in Port Charles, viewers are watching a new generation take center stage on General Hospital.

Now, in their first interview together, Carr and Antonyzyn sit down with ABC11's GH Insider Dearon Smith to discuss their unique journeys to daytime television, the lessons they've learned since joining the cast, how General Hospital has changed their lives and what they hope the future holds for Danny Morgan and Rocco Falconeri.
