New park to be built in Wake County off Highway 42

WAKE COUNTY, N.C. (WTVD) -- A new park will be built in Wake County.

Wake County Commission gave final approval for the creation of a new park on Highway 42 near Old Stage Road between Garner and Fuquay-Varina.

The park will be called Beech Bluff County Park.

Construction is expected to begin in 2021, with a planned opening in 2022.
