Driver without license blamed for crash

RALEIGH According to the N.C. Highway Patrol, Osmar Guillermo Perez-Vicente was driving without a license when he clipped the front of a tractor-trailer while changing lanes near the Wade Ave. exit.

Authorities say as soon as he is released from the hospital, he will be charged with careless and reckless driving and operating without a license.

Five vehicles were involved in the crash, including the tractor-trailer that caught fire. The driver of that truck is in critical condition at the N.C. Jaycee Burn Center.
