Officers caught Dickerson, who is from the New Bern area, shortly after 1 p.m. Tuesday. He was located in a wooded area off U.S. 17 -- just south of New Bern.
He surrendered without incident.
Escaped inmate caught
GOLDSBORO They say 29-year-old Johnny Dickerson was serving a six-month sentence for misdemeanor larceny, communicating threats and simple assault.
