“North Carolina continues to attract manufacturing companies looking to tap into a top-ranked business climate and growing global opportunities,” Gov. Perdue said in a statement to the media. “These companies know the value of our skilled workforce and unparalleled quality of life.”
The jobs will pay just under $29,000 a year. The average salary in the county is just under $26,000.
FASTA's website says the company makes steel and foam panels that are quick to assemble and promote "green" building practices. The new Littleton factory will make panels and trusses.
“The site’s location provides for exceptional logistical access to major roadways, and the availability of a highly qualified local labor force in Halifax County will contribute to the company’s long-term success,” said company President Terry Fowler.
The One North Carolina Fund provides financial assistance, through local governments, to attract business projects that will stimulate economic activity and create new jobs in the state.
