Investigators say Shipman was shot inside a home on Pelligrini Avenue in Hope Mills around 6 p.m. Wednesday, after he and Robinson began arguing. Shipman was transported to Cape Fear Valley Medical where he later died.
Robinson is being held in the Cumberland County Detention Center without bond.
He is scheduled to make a first court appearance in the Detention Center Courtroom at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday.
