Suspects wanted for robbery, kidnapping

The Chapel Hill Police Department is investigating a reported armed robbery and kidnapping.It was reported on April 7 around 3:20 a.m. According to the victim, two people forced him into his own vehicle in the 700 block of North Columbia Street.

The man told police one of the suspects claimed to have a weapon. The victim said the suspects made him drive to the Sun Trust bank on Dobbins Dr. and withdraw money.

The suspects then left the victim at the ATM and took the his dark blue, 2000 Ford Explorer with license plate TND 8621. The vehicle was last seen traveling towards Durham on 15-501.

The suspects are described as a man and a woman. The woman was wearing a dark colored hoodie. Police say the ATM surveillance camera captured an image of the male suspect.
