It's prom season, and wedding season is in full swing. If any of those events are in your future, even just as a guest we have a way for you to get the elegant look for at least 50 percent off retail prices!

You can find more than 100 wedding dress, some new with tags still on them, others gently worn just once. But they're all cleaned and ready for the next bride. You can find all these wedding dresses at Gorgeous Gowns and Wedding Dresses; it's a consignment boutique in Cary. The selection includes gowns by popular designers and range in size from zero to 24. All are three years old or newer. Some of the dresses are as low as $99; the average cost is between $300 and $650. Owner Liz Pogue says, "All the dresses are priced half of original retail cost, so it's a really good way to stay within your budget."

The consignment boutique also carries veils, accessories, flower girl dresses, plus a large selection of mother of the bride dresses. Most of them are all under $100. The store even has all different choices of brides maid dresses in all different styles with the average price tag of $65 to $85.

And talk about a bargain, Gorgeous Gowns has a large selection of prom dresses, most of the flashy formal wear each priced at under $100. You'll find short cocktail dresses and long evening dresses that are not just for prom goers, but any special occasion. Pogue says many women for the inaugural ball found their dresses at the shop.

So it's worth a look, as if you save money on your dress that means you have somewhere else to spend it. If you're looking to sell your formal wear or wedding dress, Gorgeous Gowns and Weddings Dresses is always looking for new inventory. It does have to be cleaned, and again they only sell formal wear that is three years or newer.
