Authorities say when they arrived at the scene they found a man lying unresponsive on the right side of the roadway near the curb.
The driver and passenger of a Ford pickup truck that hit the man was at the scene when police arrived.
Police say they have determined that the man was attempting to cross Ramsey Street and walked into the path of the truck.
Officials are not releasing identities until the next of kin is notified. The accident is currently under investigation.
