Five charged in two home invasions

RALEIGH Friday night, authorities say they responded to a 911 hang up at a home on Fayetteville Road in Raleigh around 9 p.m.

When they arrived at the home, deputies say they found three people who told them several men forced their way into the home and robbed them at gunpoint. Two of the victims had minor injuries.

Around 10:25 p.m., the Wake County Sheriff's Office said it went to another call at a home on Bitternut Lane in Raleigh.

When officers arrived, they found two more victims with a similar story. One of the men had a minor injury and was taken to WakeMed and then released.

The victims in both cases gave similar descriptions of the suspects and the vehicle involved. Shortly after the second incident, Raleigh police officers stopped a vehicle fitting the description of the suspects and the vehicle believed to be involved in both home invasions.

Police arrested 19-year-old Perry Antonio Brown II, 21-year-old Derrick Rashad Daniels, 19-year-old Alfonzo James Knight Jr., 19-year-old Dominic Cortez Lottie, and 23-year-old Tyrone Gerard Wright.

In the Fayetteville Road case, all five suspects are charged with kidnapping, first-degree burglary, assault with a deadly weapon and assault with intent to kill.

In the Bitternut Lane case, all five suspects are charged with armed robbery and assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill.
