The backpack was then yanked off her back and she fell to the ground. Sessoms said the child suffered minor cuts and scrapes but was transported to WakeMed as a precaution.
The child is recovering at home.

JOHNSTON COUNTY According to Terri Sessoms, Johnston County School spokesperson, the girl was getting off of the bus when her backpack got caught in the door.
