New lead in school fire

FAYETTEVILLE After reviewing surveillance video, investigators want to talk to three people seen on school property around the time of the fire.

On July 1, authorities responded to a call regarding a three-alarm fire at the school. The blaze destroyed the school's gym and part of the cafeteria.

So far, detectives have interviewed over 100 people and collected fingerprints and physical evidence from the crime scene.

There is still no determination of what caused the fire. However, the sheriff's office said it will conduct additional interviews in the upcoming weeks that may help determine a cause. Those interviews will include contractors and people who were working on the building prior to the fire.
