Trailer hit, snaps utility pole

RALEIGH Authorities said a trailer somehow got detached from a pick-up truck that was towing it.

The trailer then hit and snapped a utility pole.

Traffic was down to one lane in each direction, just south of the Carolina Country Club.

Police worked into the night trying to clear the scene.
