Cary High School Trainer Eric Hall was one of many who rushed to his side.
"I was kind of in-between the sideline and our players on the field," Hall said. "Our team motioned to me that we had a player collapse. I was the first one to respond, he was breathing and did have a pulse, but he was in a type of seizure kind of look."
School officials said paramedics had to use a defibrillator on White when they arrived.
Paramedics rushed White to the hospital after reviving him. He is currently in good condition at Wake Med.
School officials said White is recovering and plans to be back for the start of school.
They also said doctors know what happened to him, but they can't share his medical information.
