Pedestrian killed on highway

FAYETTEVILLE Authorities said 23-year-old Kalen Salinaz was walking east of Raeford when she was struck from behind by a car near Pittman Grove Church Road around 10:30 p.m.

Highway Patrol said the driver stopped, but there was no word yet on whether any charges would be filed.

Further details about the accident are not being released at this time.
