One injured in school bus accident

Two school buses were involved in a chain reaction accident in Morrisville Wednesday afternoon.It happened at Northwest Cary Pkwy at Chapel Hill Road around 2 p.m.

Police said one student required medical attention by emergency workers and was taken to the hospital.

EMS crews checked out at least six other students and all three drivers.

It happened when a car trying to turn right into a driveway was hit from behind by a bus carrying students from Cary Middle School. A bus behind it from the same school then hit the first bus.

Charges are pending against both bus drivers.
