State troopers said 17-year-old Kayla Lanich was driving an Isuzu Trooper when it smashed head-on into a Ford F-150 pick-up truck. They say it appears she crossed the center line.
Lanich was taken to WakeMed and one person in the truck was taken to the hospital. Their conditions are not known.
