Richards was visiting a friend in Apex when her baby went into respiratory distress and later died.
She is charged with the involuntary manslaughter of her daughter.
Richards is still being held at Wake County jail under a $250,000 bond.
The judge upheld the bond after finding out Richards doesn't have an address in Raleigh.
