Shaner apparently never arrived to her job at First Citizens Data Processing Center located at Tryon and Hammond roads.
Police say she drives a 2006 silver Pontiac Montana with the NC license plate WPV-3659.
Shaner is about 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs 150 pounds. She has brown salt and pepper length hair and brown eyes.
Shaner was last seen wearing a tan coat and light gray pants.
Anyone with information about Shelia Towell Shaner is asked to call the Garner Police Department at 919-772-8810 or contact their local law enforcement agency by using the 911 system.
