In a news release, Goldsboro Police said Antell DeAngelo Nobles used a rifle to rob the cashier at the Handy Mart at 2011 Highway 70 West on January 21st.
The suspect was given an undetermined amount of money before he fled the store, according to police.
Nobles was arrested and taken to the Wayne County Jail, where he is being held on a $150,000 secured bond.
Police said further charges are expected in the case.
