The City of Fayetteville Fire Department said in a news release Monday afternoon it is currently involved in several major incidents involving two house fires and several significant woods fires.
The areas affected Yadkin and Horseshoe and Honeycutt and MacArthur roads.
Investigators said the incidents appear unrelated, but are all exacerbated by the current windy and dry conditions.
Resources from the several Cumberland County Fire Departments have been deployed to assist City units.
