Police say they need help from the public to catch a man suspected of sexually assaulting a teenage girl waiting for her school bus Friday morning.

Investigators say the attack happened around 6:50 a.m. near the intersection of Cornwallis Road and Century Oaks Drive.

The teen was waiting for her bus when a man approached and sexually assaulted her.

The suspect was described as a dark-complected black male, 17 to 19 years old, and 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall with a skinny build. He had shoulder-length braids or "twists" and a slight mustache and goatee. He was last seen wearing a long-sleeved pink shirt and blue jeans.
