Authorities say the alleged incident took place on May 25 at Northwest High School and was reported on May 26.
Deputies arrested Joe Edmondson, Jr. of Rocky Mount Tuesday. Edmonds is the out of school suspension coordinator at Northwest.
His bond was set at $2,000 and he is scheduled to appear in court on September 14.
