Police searching for attempted robbery suspect

RALEIGH It happened at the Wingate Inn off Capital Boulevard around 1 a.m.

Police officers using a dog to search at the scene told ABC11 that someone tried to rob the hotel clerk, but ran off without any money. No one was hurt.
