Twenty-four-year-old Jacoby Taylor Walker and 31-year-old Shauna Marie Parker of 1642 Gate Two Road, near Creedmoor, are charged with first-degree murder.
Wilkins said the pair hit 27-year-old Thomas Joseph Fort, Jr. of 5405 Calbe Knolls Drive, Holly Springs in the head with a baseball bat.
The murder allegedly happened in a room attached to a storage building at the Gate Two Road address. Wilkins said Walker and Parker were living in the room.
Fort's body was discovered by his father when he didn't return home.
