Deputies arrest suspect in Micro homicide

MICRO, N.C. Investigators were called to the 100 block of Johnson Farm Lane in Micro around 12:30 a.m. Sunday.

When they arrived, they found the body of Billy James Mitchell, 37, inside a mobile home.

Deputies arrested Joe Glenwood Faison, 52, on a charge of voluntary manslaughter.

Investigators believe the suspect and victim had been drinking, and may have been wrestling or engaging in some kind of horseplay when Mitchell stopped breathing.

Faison is also charged with possession of cocaine, and is jailed on a $300,000 combined bond.
