It happened on Interstate 40 near Hammond Road.
Authorities said the firefighters were on the scene of a two-vehicle crash on the interstate when they were hit by a third car.
Both firefighters were taken to the hospital to be checked out. Three people in the cars from the original accident were also taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
