Suspect wanted for $50,000 in damage

RALEIGH Eyewitness News first broke this story Wednesday evening.

Police say the unidentified suspect, who was caught on camera during the predawn hours of September 28, destroyed planters in the 200, 300 and 400 blocks, by tipping them off the stands where they were mounted.

Investigators say 10 planters were damaged, and each will cost about $5,000 to replace.

The male suspect is seen wearing a green t-shirt with a light horizontal stripe across its front, light colored shorts with dark stripes running down the legs, black sneakers with white trim, and a head covering that appears to be a do-rag or a hat turned backwards. The suspect has a light colored book bag or backpack.
