Three women were taken to the hospital and one of those victims, 73-year-old Lois Shannon, died from her injuries.
The driver of the truck, 95-year-old Benjamin Moye, told police he mistakenly hit the gas instead of the brake. Investigators are trying to determine whether Moye was at fault or if an equipment failure was the cause.
A police diagram shows his truck proceeded through the crosswalk without stopping. The Highway Patrol will reenact the crash.
Moye was not injured.
The other two victims were released from the hospital Monday.
