Police: Man fatally shot at Fayetteville home

FAYETTEVILLE (WTVD) -- Police in Fayetteville are investigating a fatal shooting after a man was found shot near the front door of a home just after midnight Tuesday.

Around 12:08 a.m., police received a call about a shooting in the 600 block of Ashbrook Court, near Montclair Road.

When officers arrived, they found 22-year-old Marcus Andre Calhoun of Clayton near the door after he had been shot by an unknown suspect.

Calhoun was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

Authorities said the shooting did not appear to be random.
