Man injured in accidental shooting at Raleigh gun range; second in 3 days
RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) -- An employee at a Raleigh gun range was injured on Sunday afternoon after an accidental shooting.
The Raleigh Police Department (RPD) says officers responded to calls about a shooting just after 3:30 p.m. at OnPoint Range on Spring Forest Road.
Police said the shooting happened inside the store.
An employee was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Onpoint posted a statement on social media following Sunday's incident.
"Today an OnPoint employee sustained a minor training injury which caused a temporary interruption in business. The employee is expected to make a full recovery and no one else was injured. Per our protocol we notified 911. We would like to thank Raleigh EMS and Police for their support. We have resumed business as normal."
RPD said there is no criminal investigation into the incident.
The shooting comes days after a man was seriously injured in a shooting at the same gun range on Friday.
Raleigh police have not released the man's condition in Friday's shooting.
Police are not looking for a suspect in either shooting.
