No one was injured, authorities confirmed.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (WTVD) -- A chase Sunday night between a pickup truck and deputies ended in a crash.

It all started when the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office and Fayetteville police tried to stop a Dodge pickup, which was reported stolen, at 10:30 p.m. This happened in downtown Fayetteville on Grove Street and B Street, according to deputies.

The pickup truck driver was later identified as Michael Brian Maness, 43 of Parkton.

Maness led deputies through several city streets before getting onto I-95. The chase continued down NC Highway 24 into Sampson County.

Investigators said Maness tried to make a U-turn, traveled off the road into a ditch and crashed. This occurred between Autryville and Roseboro near Hayne Stretch Road. He tried to run away on foot but was caught and arrested.

There was a woman, a girl under 12 years old, and a dog inside the Dodge. They were taken to a hotel in the Fayetteville area for the night.

No one was injured, authorities confirmed.

According to the sheriff's office, Maness was charged with driving while impaired. He was held at the Cumberland County Center and held on a denied bond.

It was also discovered he had two outstanding orders for arrest for felony probation violation; warrants for larceny of motor vehicle; possession of stolen motor vehicle; resisting public officer; habitual larceny; breaking and entering motor vehicle; obtaining property by false pretenses; and possession of stolen goods. There may be additional charges.

Maness' first court appearance was Monday at 2:30 p.m.
