Cary woman jailed in the UK over child sex charges

A Cary woman is behind bars in the United Kingdom after being accused of traveling thousands of miles to commit a child sex offense.

The BBC reported that Christine Lacson Abad used the Internet to track down her 15-year-old victim in Wales.

Abad is also facing two other charges.

A magistrate ordered the 27- year-old Abad held without bond.

She is scheduled to appear back in court next month.
